Our workshops.

Minibus Media offers participatory-video-, citizen-journalism- and edu-communication-workshops to institutions, organisations and individuals interested in combining video and journalism within their civic education activities.
Our classes are tailor-made designed to help your organisation establish sustainable progress with the latest multimedia resources available. Workshops can be built around a variety of subjects, from governance and democracy to environmental issues or human rights violations, depending on the focus of the partner organisation.

Participatory-video

Participatory-video

Participatory video is a powerful, inclusive methodology that enables communities to take the lead in shaping and producing their own films—amplifying voices often marginalized in mainstream media, especially in the face of AI-driven misinformation and digital manipulation.

Minibus Media collaborates with partner organizations across Africa, Germany, and Brazil, empowering participants to independently create films on issues that matter most to them. Together, we address critical themes such as civic engagement, environmental justice, electoral transparency, and human rights documentation—equipping communities to tell their own stories, challenge misinformation, and advocate for change through trusted, grassroots visual storytelling.
Hip Hop Radio Edutainment

Hip Hop Radio Edutainment

Hip Hop Radio’s edutainment builds on the rich legacy of African oral traditions, weaving beats and rhymes into compelling narratives. This innovative approach crafts content that both educates and empowers, addressing diverse topics with creativity and authentic cultural voice.

Since its inception in 1974, Hip Hop has evolved globally but it continous until today to drive social change and inform its audience.
Chris, a dedicated music enthusiast and collector of Black music-vinyl since the late 1980s, is committed to revitalizing the foundational values of Hip Hop culture. Through strategic partnerships with local radio stations and community organizations, this initiative seeks to reactivate a transformative cultural !movement—one that merges education and entertainment to foster active engagement, empowerment, and creativity. Together, we address the global challenge of misinformation, using the power of Hip Hop as a tool for awareness, dialogue, and social change.
Citizen journalism

Citizen journalism

Citizen journalism empowers individuals—regardless of professional background—to actively gather, verify, and share information, especially in an era where AI and misinformation challenge the integrity of public discourse..

In our workshops, participants gain hands-on experience in ethical information production, learning to create credible, engaging content tailored to their communities. Minibus Media prioritizes the use of local languages, recognizing their vital role in both reaching diverse audiences and safeguarding cultural identity. Our toolkit includes video and audio production, photography, blogging, radio broadcasting, and mobile apps—equipping citizens to navigate and counter misinformation with trusted, community-driven storytelling.
